Investment & Insurance
Investing in your mental health is a powerful commitment to your well-being, your relationships, and your future. I believe in complete transparency when it comes to the logistics of your care, so you can plan predictably.
Therapy is a dedicated space where you choose to show up for yourself. The fees and cancellation policies outlined below ensure that our therapeutic relationship is built on mutual respect, clear expectations, and a shared commitment to your long-term well-being.

Cancellation Policy
Because your appointment time is reserved exclusively for you, I maintain a strict 24-hour cancellation and rescheduling policy.
If you need to cancel or change your session, please provide at least 24 hours' notice. Cancellations or rescheduling requests made with less than 24 hours' notice, as well as missed appointments, will be subject to the full fee charged to your card on file.
Please note that insurance companies do not reimburse for missed or late-canceled sessions, meaning this fee must be paid out-of-pocket. Emergencies are considered on a case-by-case basis.
Please note: Due to state licensing regulations, you must be physically located within the state of North Carolina at the time of our appointment for all virtual and in-person sessions."
Insurance Information
I am an in-network provider with Aetna, State Health Plan, and Blue Cross Blue Shield (BCBS).
Want to use your Aetna, State Health Plan, BCBS benefits?
If you would like to work with me specifically through your insurance, please do not wait to reach out. I highly encourage you to schedule a free 15-minute consultation call today.
Sliding Scale
I offer limited sliding scale slots based on financial need using The Green Bottle Method, an economic justice tool developed by Alexis J. Cunningfolk that considers an individual’s personal financial experience in setting rates. Self-pay clients experiencing financial barriers to accessing treatment are encouraged to ask about the sliding scale.
Out-of-Network & Superbills
If you hold an insurance plan other than BCBS or Aetna, or if you prefer to begin therapy immediately, you may be eligible for out-of-network reimbursement.
Upon request, I can provide you with a monthly document called a Superbill. You can submit this statement directly to your insurance company to seek partial or full reimbursement, depending on your plan's specific out-of-network mental health benefits.
Your Right to a Good Faith Estimate
Under the No Surprises Act, health care providers must give clients who do not have insurance, or who are not using insurance, an estimate of the bill for medical items and services [cms.gov]. You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency items or services, including psychotherapy [cms.gov]. A personalized written estimate will be provided to you after our initial consultation and prior to your first formal intake session. For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises.
